What this site is
This site is a display-only, read-only situational awareness tool. It shows information on a screen. It does not send alerts, dispatch help, or control equipment.
It is not an official government site. It is not an alert system or a warning system. It is not for emergency response decisions. Always confirm with official sources. In an emergency, call 911.
Third-party data
The live county screen shows public data from third parties. That data belongs to its sources. Each source keeps its own terms and attributions. The sample screen can show sample records instead of live feeds.
- National Weather Service, for weather alerts, current conditions, and flood stages.
- National Interagency Fire Center (NIFC) WFIGS, for wildfires.
- USGS Water Data APIs, for river gauges.
- CDOT COtrip, for roads. The full CDOT notice is below.
- DOE ODIN, for power outages. The live power list covers CORE Electric only.
- EPA ECHO, for facility locations. EPA ECHO data is public domain.
- OpenStreetMap, for place locations. OpenStreetMap data is (c) OpenStreetMap contributors, ODbL.
- FEMA IPAWS, when those public alerts are turned on.
- Public RSS feeds for news headlines, including NWS Denver/Boulder, 9NEWS, Denver7, FOX31 KDVR, Sentinel Colorado, Denver Gazette, Colorado Sun, Colorado Public Radio, and the City of Greenwood Village. Headlines are unofficial and open the original page.
- OpenFreeMap, OpenMapTiles, and OpenStreetMap, for the map background. The credit line on the map names them. Esri World Imagery is used for the satellite background only when an ArcGIS basemap key is configured, and that credit stays on the map.
